Russia-Ukraine War: Can Russia Carry Out Chemical Attacks?

Russia claims that Ukraine is planning to develop nuclear weapons, and an emergency meeting of the Security Council was held on Friday at Russia’s request.

However, Ukraine has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Ukraine’s intelligence have been made more than once.

Ukraine has laboratories and they are legal. The country’s government says its scientists conduct research in these laboratories to protect people from pandemics such as the Kovid.

But despite that, the country is now at war. So the World Health Organization has asked Ukraine to destroy any dangerous living material in its laboratory.

So what is a chemical weapon and how can it be distinguished from a germ weapon?

Chemical weapons are types of weapons that carry toxins or chemicals that attack the systems of the human body.

There are different categories of chemical weapons. There is a choking agent – which attacks the lungs and respiratory system and paralyzes the lungs. Again there is mustard gas as a blister agent. It burns the skin of the body and blinds people.
